IDS @ Houno Showroom Opening

IDS were invited to the opening of Hounö’s new showroom at Middleby UK in Wigan recently.

After a tour of the Middleby product range, including Pitco and Turbo-Chef, I was treated to the most unbelievable steak using Southbend’s gas grill! A quick change and back to the demo kitchen where Hounö chefs Martin and Edwin cooked a four course meal comprising of Crispy Fish, Egg Benedict, Beef Wellington and a Brûlée desert all made using Hounö’s fantastic range of Combination Ovens. With complimentary wine on offer it was a very nice, informal evening chatting with other distributors.

Once again a big thank you to both Hounö and Middleby UK for their generosity and good company.

IDS Celebrate National Fish and Chip Day

On Friday 2nd June IDS celebrated National Fish and Chip Day with an open day at our Demo Kitchen. The fish was sourced from the excellent Smith Fish in Westbury-on-Trym (www.smithfish.co.uk) and the chips peeled by hand from willing helpers and staff. The food was cooked using our in-house Falcon and Lincat fryers, with the chips finished off in one of our Combination Ovens for that ‘triple-cooked’ taste.

‘Chef Dance’ perfected his technique and provided tasters throughout the day for happy staff and customers.
